Spinosaurus was a huge, semi‑aquatic carnivorous theropod dinosaur from North Africa,
living about 95 million years ago.
It was one of the largest known predators, reaching 15 meters or more, with a long crocodile‑like snout
full of straight, conical teeth perfect for catching fish.
Its most striking feature was the tall sail on its back, formed by elongated vertebrae.
Spinosaurus had paddle‑like feet, a powerful tail, and dense bones that helped it swim,
making it a specialized hunter in rivers and lagoons.
Unlike most big theropods, it spent much of its life in the water, dominating Cretaceous wetlands.
The teeth of spinosaurs are delicate, often found fractured when discovered.
In instances of breakage, efforts are made to restore them using original fragments.
Occasionally, pieces from other spinosaur teeth need to be utilized in the restoration process.
