Deltadromeus was a fast, lightly built carnivorous dinosaur from North Africa, living about 95 million years ago.
It had long, slender legs built for speed, making it one of the quickest large predators of its time.
Its body was narrow and lightweight, with long arms ending in three sharp claws and a mouth full of slicing teeth.
Reaching about 8 meters long, it hunted smaller, agile prey across river plains.
Scientists find it intriguing because its skeleton is unusually delicate for a big predator,
and its exact family relationships remain uncertain, adding mystery to this swift Cretaceous hunter.
