Carcharodontosaurus saharicus, the "African T. rex,"
was a massive, powerfully built carnivorous dinosaur from North Africa, living about 95 million years ago.
It reached around 13–14 meters long, rivaling T. rex in size, with a huge skull lined with long, serrated teeth.
Its body was robust, with strong legs for steady movement rather than speed.
As a top predator, it hunted large herbivores in river‑rich environments.
Known from fragmentary fossils, it remains one of the largest and most formidable theropods,
representing the apex of Cretaceous African predators.
